Have you made use of this feature? Let us know in the comments below. The feature doesn’t appear to have made its way to PCs and tablets for now, but will likely be coming in future builds. Like the changes relating to delivered messages, it is a really small change, but it improves the user experience of Windows 10 on phones.

With the latest Windows 10 Anniversary Build, an alert box pops up allowing users to directly turn on battery saver from the pop-up. If the user has not configured battery saver mode, the user will get a pop-up telling them of the existence of battery saver when the battery falls below 10% prompting them to go to the settings and configure battery saver. Typically, when a Windows phone reaches a user configured threshold, the battery saver app kicks in and slows the battery drain marginally. In the last Windows 10 Mobile and PC Anniversary Update, the settings pane for the battery saver app was redesigned, but Microsoft also added a new battery focused feature that went overlooked.
